These standards require all our directors and employees to accord respect to diverse values, individuality, and privacy of individuals, prohibit discriminatory behavior based on race, religion, gender, nationality, disability, age, or sexual orientation, and prohibit physical abuse, sexual harassment, abuse of power, discriminatory behavior based on pregnancy, childbirth, childcare leave and any other actions that disregard the dignity and individuality of others.
NuFlare Technology respects human dignity and aims to create an organization full of diversity and creativity. Toshiba Group Companies joined the UN Global Compact in 2004 to show their support for, and practice, the universal principles concerning human rights and labor. In line with the Compact, NuFlare Technology also stipulates, in the NuFlare Technology Standards of Conduct, respect for human rights and prohibition of discriminatory treatment, child labor, and forced labor, and works to ensure compliance with them.

The NuFlare Technology Group Standards of Conduct, a code of conduct for directors and employees, stipulates respect for diverse values, individuality, privacy of individuals, prohibition of discriminatory behavior based on race, religion, gender, nationality, disability, age, or sexual orientation, and prohibition of physical abuse, sexual harassment, abuse of power, discriminatory behavior based on pregnancy, childbirth, or childcare leave, and any other actions that disregard the dignity and individuality of others. In accordance with this policy, our employment regulations prohibit sexual harassment and other actions that disregard the human rights of others and stipulate disciplinary punishment for any person found guilty of violating this policy.
NuFlare Technology has set up a “Corporate Ethics Helpline,” which employees can turn to for help and advice about their personal worries and concerns. Specific departments or personnel respond to employee inquiries via telephone, fax, e-mail, or postal mail regarding problems related to violations of corporate ethics or illegal acts, or acts that may constitute the same, including sexual harassment and other matters about which they may feel uncomfortable consulting with or reporting to their workplace superiors.
In addition to providing e-learning programs on human rights, an Employee Consultation Center is set up to enable employees to share any problems they may have. Employees can get counseling about problems concerning the working environment, human relations, and personnel affairs, as well as sexual and power harassment and discriminatory behavior based on pregnancy, childbirth, childcare leave and any other problems over the phone, by email, or post.
NuFlare Technology refuses to purchase conflict minerals, the production of which is believed to have involved violations of human rights. At the same time, we also discourage its business partners from using conflict minerals
